GMC's TI Series Intermediate Tendon Connector (ITC) is a field-proven solution that employs a concentric thread, pin, and box connector design. This connector offers a combination of high strength, excellent fatigue resistance, and reliable axial field make-up.
The weldable connector material allows for the prefabrication of high-strength and fatigue-resistant tendon joints in onshore workshops. These joints can then be efficiently assembled offshore into full tendon lengths, typically ranging from 300 to 1,900 meters.
By utilising patented fatigue-resistant connectors and performing 100% shop-controlled welding, GMC ensures maximum tendon reliability while reducing offshore construction time. The connectors are designed with modern analysis techniques to optimise stress distribution and enhance overall performance, surpassing older designs available in the market.
