GMC has recently completed successful testing of our Subsea Make-and-Break Tool (SMBT), carried out on one of our 10-inch mechanical connectors.
The SMBT test plan progressed from system checks to full ROV-operated underwater make-up and break-out. Preparation and topside testing verified lifting, hydraulics, controls, and data logging.
Repeated trials confirmed reliable underwater performance, progressing to full ROV manipulator operation.
