About GMC Limited
GMC Limited is a dynamic, growing, privately owned company, operating within the renewables and oil and gas sectors.
We are a products and services company, specialising in mechanically connected tubular products. Our products include floating wind mooring systems, wind turbine foundation connection systems, subsea pipelines, risers, jumpers, caissons, conductors and drilling risers. In addition to the tubular products, we also design and supply the operational equipment required for the handling and operation of the GMC connection systems.
About the roles
Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Development Managers will take an active role in supporting both our UK and Global growth goals. The positions will be essential to growing the GMC Limited brand and team and to lead and support new business activities with a strong customer focus.
There are a number of vacancies for the following product lines.
- Renewables - Rapid assembly of fixed and floating structures
- Renewables - Mooring systems
- Global caisson replacement services
- Deepwater Risers, Pipelines and modular Jumper spools.

The roles do not have the requirement to be fully office based but the candidates will have to be located near an international airport hub. The roles will require travel to build professional relationships and engage with all regional and global colleagues, clients, regulator organisations and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Foster and develop relationships with customers, clients and partners so that you can generate repeat business as well as finding new opportunities
- Have a thorough understanding of the product line associated with the role and be able to advise internal and external parties about its benefits, features, operations etc.
- Support the development and implement business strategy to maintain and optimise the company’s performance.
- Build future sales by managing a pipeline of prospects through customer relationship building and market awareness.
Candidate requirements
- 10 years + experience within a business development or technical sales environment.
- Oil and gas sector experience or transferrable industry experience.
- Renewables experience would be advantageous for the Floating Structures and Mooring Systems role.
- Willingness to travel to meet the expectations of the role.
- Solid track record of business development and are of a tenacious and consultative nature with a keen eye for detail and process.
- Ability to co-coordinate several concurrent projects across the relevant region.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to balance a varied workload and prioritise key activities related to each product line associated with the role.
